Getting Started
For changes to existing buildings, our process begins with an in-person visit to your property. For renovations and additions, one of our experienced team members will measure the space and assess any potential obstacles or structural limitations. This helps us fully understand the scope of the project before we begin the design phase. The site visit allows us to prepare an accurate, realistic quote and ensures the final design integrates seamlessly with the existing structure, avoiding any unexpected challenges later on.

For clients located in Kingston, Ontario, or within a 50 km radius—including South Frontenac, Napanee, and Gananoque—the measurement service is provided at no charge. This service helps us deliver the best results with no upfront costs. For properties outside this radius but still within Eastern Ontario, a measurement fee applies. If you decide to proceed with House of Three and accept our design quote, the measurement fee will be credited toward your design contract. This ensures you’re fully informed about the costs while still receiving a detailed, custom design experience.

Preparing a Quote
Once our team has visited your property, we’ll use the measurements and your wish list to create a quote for our design services. If you decide to move forward, we’ll email you a contract and an invoice for a 75% retainer. Upon receiving payment and the signed contract, we’ll begin work on your custom renovation plans.
